Clean Air Day with Sadiq Khan

Children in Year 6 were invited to a Clean Air Day event at the Royal London Hospital on Thursday, 17th June 2021. Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, local politicians, doctors, and members of the press attended the event.

The children had the chance to discuss problems related to air quality and pollution with the Mayor, ask him questions and share their vision for a cleaner, healthier future.

"I found today very interesting especially when we were interviewed by the BBC and ITV" - Ibraheem
"I really liked it because it was fun going on the news and seeing the mayor. I told him about an idea I had with some friends to make London a greener city." - Kaisan

If you didn’t catch them on the news last night you can watch it on the Mayor of London's Twitter feed.

Mahisha n - That looks really fun. If I was there I would be nervous meeting the mayor and being interviewed by the news.

Ibraheem H - I enjoyed doing this with my classmates. I was so nervous I can barely remember anything that I said to the mayor!
